Dental Veneer Procedure
In order to place a veneer, your dentist will first ensure that you are numbed with a local anesthetic. Impressions will be taken, and you will be given the chance to select the shade of your new veneer(s). They will then remove 1-2mm of tooth enamel to prepare space for veneer placement.
Temporary veneers will be made and temporarily cemented into place. The impressions will be sent out for the fabrication of your permanent veneers, which will typically return back to the office in about two weeks.
Once they have returned, you will also return to the office. Your temporary veneers will be removed, and your permanent veneers will be cemented into place. Your bite will be adjusted as needed, and you will then be free to leave. Your veneers will not require any special care; simply brush, floss, and attend your dental check-up and cleaning appointments.
